1. Intended use of Personal Data
Most of the information and services on this website www.daiichisankyo.com.hk are open to the public. However, owing to our aim to continually improve our services to you, some features of this website may require registration. When you choose to register with us for any such features, a minimum amount of information (which will be noted to you) for carrying out such services effectively may be required from you for active input. You may choose to withhold any such personal data required by us; however, failure to provide the minimally requested information may prevent your registration and/or access to the features of this site that may depend on such information.
In addition to features offered on this website that may require minimal personal data before use, DSHK may also collect personal data from you, whether personally identifiable or not, when it is voluntarily submitted to DSHK, a Daiichi-Sankyo group company, or a third party in connection with the operations of any Daiichi-Sankyo group company. DSHK will store such collected personal information in a database (written or electronic), in order to provide you with information on products or other services, to communicate information which we think may be of interest to you, to communicate with you for other purposes, or to make judgment on your suitability to participate in events organized by DSHK, Daiichi-Sankyo group companies or other companies related with Daiichi-Sankyo’s scope of products and services.
2. Passive information collection

DSHK will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your personal data to third parties outside the Daiichi-Sankyo group. However, personal data may occasionally be transferred to third parties who act for or on behalf of any Daiichi-Sankyo group company, or in connection with the operations of, for further processing in accordance with the purpose(s) stated in section 1 - "Intended use of Personal Data." Where disclosure of personal data to a third party is likely or necessary for whatever reason, DSHK will, wherever possible, strive to ensure that the disclosure and intended use of the data are clearly indicated. Such third parties may operate different privacy policies. However, we endeavor to ensure that such third parties provide the same standards and level of protection as DSHK and, whenever possible, will require them to process the transferred data only for the purposes expressively authorized by DSHK.
4. Personal Data Retention
DSHK will only keep your personal data for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes set out on section 1 - "Intended use of Personal Data." DSHK will conduct regular review of any personal data it keeps, and will destroy any personal data that no longer fits the purpose(s) set out on section 1 - "Intended use of Personal Data". For destruction purposes, paper based information will be destroyed via paper shredder, while electronic data entries will be deleted (or hard-disc format whenever necessary).
5. Right of Access
You have the right to access and update any of your personal data kept by DSHK, or to request its entire deletion if so desired. We endeavor to ensure your personal data is up-to-date, accurate and complete. If you wish to access your personal data held by us, please contact our Data Privacy Officer via the details and method listed in section 8 - "Contact" of this policy. Your requests will be dealt with in a prompt and proper manner.
6. Security and Confidentiality
To ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data collected and store by DSHK (or on behalf of), protected data networks are employed for electronic data, such as standard firewall and username / password protection systems. For paper-based personal data, physically lockable cabinets will be employed. Access to personal data is restricted to those employees who have a need to use the data for the purpose(s) set out on section 1 - "Intended use of Personal Data", and who have been trained to handle such data properly with strict standards of confidentiality. If an employee breaches our policies and regulations, he/she will be subjected to disciplinary actions accordingly. Where you use passwords, ID numbers, or other special access features on this site, it is your responsibility to safeguard them.
7. E-mail, spamming and mail-list
DSHK does not tolerate or engage with spamming. Spamming is defined as sending of unsolicited e-mails, in large numbers and repeatedly to individuals who have declined to receive such information. In contrast, where DSHK believes that certain information is of interest or importance to you, it reserves the right to inform you by e-mail, or by regular post, whilst providing you the choice of opting out of such communication method.
