2025 CSR Tour x 2nd One DS:
Exploration with five senses, enjoy and connect with nature

As a continuation of last year’s CSR initiative, DSHK arranged a forest exploration day on 31st Oct 2025, organized by Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong (OWLHK), aimed at enhancing colleagues’ understanding of Hong Kong’s ecological systems and biodiversity through a mix of educational and interactive activities.

The program began with a 15-minute indoor talk on Hong Kong’s ecology and biodiversity. The informative session, delivered by a knowledgeable and engaging speaker, Dr. Gary So, helped participants gain a solid understanding and appreciation of the rich and diverse natural environment in Hong Kong.

Following the talk, five cross-functional teams were formed to participate in the ‘Law of the Forest’ board game activity, which was facilitated by tutors. The 45-minute educational game proved both engaging and informative, providing colleagues with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the food chain, the hierarchical relationships among species, and the influence of human activities on ecosystem dynamics.

After a short break and the journey to Aberdeen Country Park, the group took part in a two-hour forest exploration. Through interactive, game-based tasks, participants explored the forest with their five senses, learned about local wildlife, and strengthened their connection with nature. The activity also encouraged everyone to consider their personal role in ecological conservation.

Finally, the day concluded with a return trip to the dismissal point at 17:00.

Overall, colleagues found the program engaging, educational, and rewarding, appreciating both the informative talk and the creative, hands-on activities that promoted teamwork and environmental awareness.
